Located in Eastham, Massachusetts, on the Atlantic side, within the Cape Cod National Seashore, where no new construction has been permitted since 1960.

Wood frame cedar-shingled cottage nestled in its own grove of pines and scrub oaks, with no clear view of any other dwelling.

An ocean view, just barely, from the deck.

Nauset Lighthouse, our next-door neighbor, shines over the roof at night.

Only a five-minute walk to Nauset Light Beach and a one-minute walk to Nauset Lighthouse.

Central room (18’ x 18’) includes kitchen, dining area, seating area.

Large deck, many chairs, table with umbrella.

Two bedrooms sleeping two people each; living room couch folds out for two in the main room; a sleeping loft holds three children or two cozy adults.

Full bath with shower (no tub); outdoor shower.

Full kitchen amenities (but no dishwasher): electric stove, propane-fired hot water, clothes washer and dryer and additional fridge in basement.

Air conditioners in two windows, fans provided.

Trash pick-up twice a week, Wednesday and Saturday mornings.

Phone service to most of the Cape and to the major area codes of metro Boston. No long distance service beyond that. Cell phone signal is adequate but may require going outdoors.

Satellite TV including ESPN.

No cable internet is yet available in the neighborhood.  Depend on your smartphone.

Unobstructed parking for five cars.

Many bird feeders and thus many birds, especially if you feed the feeders. Family of wild turkeys frequents the yard at the beginning and end of the day.  

Frequent nocturnal  visits at the deck bird feeder by a flying squirrel.  Huge eyes, strangely tame, lets you come close.
